Wallingford Public School Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

WALLINGFORD, CT — The end of summer is rapidly approaching for Wallingford students, and it’s once again time to prepare for the upcoming school year.

The first day of school in Wallingford Public Schools is Thursday, Aug. 29, according to the 2024-25 district school calendar.

Here are some of the other important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• First Day: Aug. 29
• Labor Day, no school: Sept. 2.
• Columbus Day, no school: Oct 14
• Election Day / Professional Development, no school: Nov. 5
• Veterans’ Day, no school: Nov. 11
• Thanksgiving Break, no school: Nov. 28-29
• Holiday Recess, no school: Dec. 23 to Jan. 1
• Martin Luther King Day, no school: Jan. 20
• Winter Break / Presidents’ Day, no school: Feb. 17-18
• Professional Development Day, no school: March 12
• Spring Break, no school: April 14-18
• Memorial Day, no school: May 26
• Potential Last Day of School: June 13

Note: The first 5 days lost to school closings will be made up at the end of school year. Any days beyond 5 will be made up during spring vacation, starting with April 14. In the event of more than 9 days, or a school closure after spring vacation, the BOE determines the last day of school. 183 student days; 188 teacher days.
