Woman Waved BB Gun At Driver During Road Rage Incident: Wallingford PD

The woman followed the victim in her vehicle after an argument at a gas station and waved a BB gun at her, according to police.

WALLINGFORD, CT — A Wallingford woman was arrested after police said she waved what appeared to be a gun at another woman while following her in a car after an argument at a gas station on Sunday morning.

Police responded around 7:50 a.m. on May 25 to a call from a person reporting that someone was following their vehicle and waving a gun after an argument at a gas station, according to Lt. Stephen Jaques.

The caller said a woman driving a gold BMW followed her out of the gas station and was trying to pull alongside her vehicle while displaying a black handgun, according to Jaques.

Jaques said officers responded to Delta Food and Fuel at 250 South Colony Road, but everyone involved had left the scene.

An investigation found that the BMW was linked to an apartment on Parsons Street, according to Jaques.

Jaques said officers went to the address where Janesleon Santana-Colon, 23, was found waiting in the parking lot with her arms raised. She told the officers that she was the person they were looking for, and she was detained, according to Jaques.

Santana-Colon was “read her rights and ultimately presented a Crossman SNR .357 Snub Nose Pellet/ BB CO2 Powered Revolver,” according to Jaques.

Officers found that the BMW was hidden behind the apartment building, according to Jaques.

Jaques said no additional weapons or contraband were found in the vehicle.

Santana-Colon was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a firearm, illegal use of a facsimile firearm, breach of peace, operating a motor vehicle with intent to harass, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation, and later released after posting a $5,000 bond with a court date of June 12, according to Jaques.
