Worker Dies After Accident At Car Dealership In Wallingford: Police
The worker became trapped between a forklift and truck at the dealership, according to police.
WALLINGFORD, CT — An employee died after an accident at a car dealership in Wallingford last Friday, according to police.
Police responded around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 10 to Executive Dodge Jeep Ram at 406 South Orchard St. in Wallingford.
When officers arrived, police said medics were using a Locas machine for chest compressions on an employee who was pinned between a forklift and a truck.

Police said it appeared that the employee was using the forklift to remove a container from the truck, and while traveling up the driveway of the dealership, got out to look at something.
The forklift began to roll back down the slanted driveway, according to police.

Police said the employee ran and tried to stop the forklift with his hands, and was trapped between the forklift and truck.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died, according to police.
Executive Dodge announced in a post on Facebook that it was closed on Saturday, Jan. 11 to mourn their coworker’s death.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a beloved coworker and friend,” officials wrote in the Facebook post on Jan. 10. “Out of respect for their memory and to allow our team time to mourn, Executive Dodge Jeep Ram in Wallingford will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, January 11th.
“We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time and ask that you keep our team and the family of our dear friend in your thoughts.”
