This year, several members of our community (Colin Benard, Roz Gallagher, Liz Landow, Bob Devaney, Michael Colavolpe, and Bob Beaumont) are coming together to coordinate Wallingford’s participation in the nationwide project Wreaths Across America. There will be approximately a mile-long convoy consisting of 14 tractor trailers and 160 people, including Gold Star Mothers, Blue Star families, various veterans' groups, and police escorts. They will get off Exit 15 of Route 91, come down Route 68 and Route 5, then come up Center Street and onto South Main Street. Next, there will be a short wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorials at town hall followed by a ceremony inside town hall. The event will take place on December 9.
