Call for Artists for Art In Waterford 2024

The Waterford Historical Society, Inc. is soliciting 1 or 2 original works of art from Connecticut artists for the 6th annual Art In Waterford event at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, Waterford, Connecticut from October 25 through October 27, 2024. Deadline for submissions is August 1, 2024. One does not need to be a member of the Waterford Historical Society to enter. (Individual annual membership is $25) but are encouraged to join and support the organization.

Here are the specifics:

- Depict ANY aspect of people/places/objects/impressions of southeastern Connecticut.- Paintings, sketches, photographs, etchings, etc. should be no larger than 3’ x 4’.

- Sculptures will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

- Artists must provide their own easels or stands.

- Artists may sell their works of art at the price registered on the application, from which 25% will be donated to the Waterford Historical Society, Inc.

- All works of art by contemporary artists will be placed by the artists themselves on Thursday, October 24 (from 12 - 6 p.m.). The show will be open to the general public 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday, October 25 through Sunday, October 27, 2024.

- Artists should remove their pieces on Sunday, October 27, upon closing, i.e., 3-6 p.m.

- Each application must include a high-quality image of each artwork being submitted. By August 1, 2024, it must be e-mailed to artinwaterford@gmail.com.
