Final Budget Meeting In Waterford Tonight

Waterford's Representative Town Meeting (RTM) will hold its final budget hearing tonight at Waterford Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. 

The Board of Finance turned in an $81.8 million budget proposal for the 2013-14 fiscal year. That's a 3.86 percent increase over this year’s $78.8 million total. The RTM has trimmed relatively little from that bottom line. The outcome of tonight's meeting will determine what the mill rate will be for the next fiscal year. 

If you've not been paying much attention to the budget until now, this is your last chance to put in your two cents. There's time reserved for public comment at the beginning of the meeting.
