Fire Prevention, Breast Cancer Awareness, and Drama At Waterford High

1. What's The Weather? Today will be partly cloudy with a high of 68 degrees and an overnight low of 46 degrees, according to weather.com. There's a 10 percent chance of rain during the day but it should be dry tonight.
2. Nearly Showtime! Tickets for "It's Only A Play," WATERFORDrama's first production of the season are on sale this week. The show will be presented Oct. 17-19 at Waterford High School. Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 students if purchased in advance and are for sale in the front lobby of Waterford High School on Mondays through Fridays between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. or may be reserved by calling (860) 437-6956 ext. 7407.
3. Waterford North Little League is seeking candidates for team managers. If you're interested, the Little League will be accepting applications at its next meeting at Quaker Hill School at 7 p.m. on October 9.

5. Breast Cancer Awareness: Eileen Kaplan will be the guest speaker at the PINK Mermaid Mastectomy Boutique, 1313 Gold Star Hwy, Groton, on October 10, where she will be signing her new book Laughter is the Breast Medicine from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
