• Waterford 'brake-check' ends in gunpoint road rage incident, man's arrest, police say (ncadvertiser.com) — A 21-year-old Waterford resident is being held on $250,000 bond after police say he pointed a gun at another driver during a road-rage encounter that began on Chesterfield Road in East Lyme. Waterford police ultimately stopped the car and helped arrest the passenger, with officers reporting they recovered ammunition, an unserialized 9mm-style firearm, and a high-capacity magazine. The man’s next court date is Jan. 20 in New London.
