WATERFORD, CT — Firefighters extricated a man whose feet became stuck in an escalator at the JCPenney store at the Crystal Mall on Saturday, according to The Day of New London.
Firefighters arrived at the store to find the man had both feet entangled between the top step and top landing of an escalator. They needed to use the Jaws of Life and hydraulic tools to extricate the man, which they did in about 10 minutes, according to a firefighters' union Facebook post.
The man was "alert and oriented and surprisingly calm throughout the entire ordeal."
