Here's A First—Someone Stole A Shed!

There have been a lot of reports of items being stolen from sheds in Waterford recently, but this time someone actually stole the shed itself! 

The shed was taken during the overnight hours of October 1 into October 2 from outside Habitat for Humanity's Re-Store, which is located at 82 Boston Post Road near the intersection of Route 1 and Willetts Avenue in Waterford. The store was using the shed for storage.

To add insult to injury, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells donated furniture, appliances, and building materials at discounted prices to raise money to help Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut build more homes in partnership with needy families. 

"Due to the size and description, we suspect that this object shouldn’t be too hard to locate if placed on a property in the area in the last day or two," Waterford Police note on the department's Facebook Page.

Waterford Police Seek Help Identifying Suspected Credit Card Thief

Waterford Police are also asking for the public's help in identifying the man in the photograph also posted here. According to police, he went into the employee area of a small store in the mall and stole several credit cards from the purse of an employee. The suspect then went on to use the cards at numerous locations around Waterford and New London, racking up purchases totaling $2,600.
