ID Of Body Found In Water Released By Waterford Police

WATERFORD, CT — A New London resident's body was discovered in Long Island Sound off of the coastline of Waterford, police said.

At 1:02 p.m. on Aug. 26, police responded to a report of a body discovered in Long Island Sound.

Emergency crews responded and found a deceased person in the water about 1.5 miles south of Millstone Point and west of Bartlett Reef, police said.

The person has been identified as Jessee Pond, 39, of New London, police said.
