Waterford to open warming center from Thursday through Sunday.

With the dangerous temperatures and wind chills forecasted this week, the Waterford Police Department will open as a warming and charging center from 4pm on Thursday till 12pm on Sunday.

This is not set up as a shelter, so if more than a warming and charging station is needed, we suggest calling 2-1-1.

The address is 41 Avery Lane, Waterford, Connecticut. Walk in the lobby, turn left and enter our training room. If it is dark, that means no-one is in there and the lights will turn on as you walk in.

Officers will be in the building at all times and the area is covered by an internal camera system.
