Volunteer, Consider Your Health, And Learn About Education Reform
Five things to help you plan your day in Waterford on Wednesday, September 25.

1. Another glorious day. Weather.com is predicting today will be sunny and clear with a high of 70 degrees. Tonight will be partly cloudy with an overnight low of 51 degrees.
2. Can You Help? New London Area Food Pantry is in need of volunteers, especially on Thursdays from 9:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Some heavy lifting (up to about 50 pounds) is involved. If you're interested, please stop by the food pantry at 106 Truman Street, New London, to fill in an application. The Pantry is open Monday 2-4 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 10-noon. 3. Just one meeting tonight: The Democratic Caucus of the Representative Town Meeting will convene at 7:30 p.m. at the Louise T. Appleby Meeting Room in Waterford Town Hall.
4. Health Check: The Visiting Nurses Association of Southeastern Connecticut will be at Waterford Community Center offering blood pressure screenings today at 11 a.m.
5. Talking About Education: Connecticut Commissioner of Education Stefan Pryor will be at the Quality Inn in Mystic to talk about education reform on Friday at a special breakfast event sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut.
