Waterford Hires New Planning Director
Jon Mullen grew up in Ridgewood Park in Waterford and graduated from Waterford High School in 1995.

Jon Mullen grew up in Ridgewood Park in Waterford and graduated from Waterford High School in 1995. Jon attended Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Connecticut where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Geography in 2000 and his Masters Degree in Geography with a focus on Planning and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in 2004.
Jon worked for the City of Hartford from 2006 to 2016 as a Senior and Principal Planner. For the past six years he has been Planner for the Town of Glastonbury.

Throughout his career, Jon has helped guide large corporations, regional developers, local business owners, and residents through the municipal permit approval process.
Jon played key roles in the development of the 10-Year Plan of Conservation and Development in both the City of Hartford and in Glastonbury. He also assisted in the development of the Affordable Housing Plan for the Town of Glastonbury.
“I am thrilled for the opportunity to continue my planning career in my hometown. I look forward to the opportunities ahead and to working for the residents of Waterford,” said Jon Mullen.

Jon lives in Waterford with his wife Jennifer and their two children.
