WATERFORD, CT — Community members looking for a new career path will get a helping hand from Waterford Public Schools. The District is hosting a free job fair on April 19, from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm in the Clark Lane Middle School Cafeteria. The Fair will allow interested participants to interview with hiring managers, become more familiar with career opportunities, and apply for job vacancies.
All are welcome to attend. Waterford offers competitive benefits, paid training, and a supportive environment. Candidates applying to District vacancies are encouraged to apply online at www.waterfordschools.org and call human resources at 860 440-1863 to reserve an interview time for the event. Interested applicants can also bring a resume and work contact references to the event. There will be computers available onsite to complete the process. Examples of positions available include: paraprofessionals, and substitute paraprofessionals, substitute teachers, food service workers, and substitute food service workers, van drivers, custodians, and substitute custodians.

Waterford Public Schools serve approximately 2,400 students in grades PK-12. The District’s facilities include three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The Waterford community strongly supports the public schools and has high expectations for staff and student. According to the State of Connecticut Next Generation Performance Accountability System, Waterford Public Schools ranks in the top third of K-12 school districts in the state. The Waterford Board of Education is a nine-member elected body.
