Waterford Restaurant Closes Due To Decline In Business: Report

A Waterford restaurant that opened in 2000 has closed in part due to a lack of business since the pandemic, according to a report.

WATERFORD, CT — Caffe NV, a Waterford establishment previously named "Best New Restaurant in New London County," has closed. The Boston Post Road eatery shut its doors in part due to a declining customer base since the COVID-19 pandemic, The Day of New London reported.

Caffe NV is now listed as permanently closed on Google. A related business across the street, NV Bakery and Market, remains open. NV Bakery and Market lists daily hours on its website.

Owner Maria Longinidis told The Day that Caffe NV closed because of a decline in business combined with higher costs for ingredients and a tragic death in the family.
