Waterford Theater Announces Programming For 60th Season
The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center has released its programming schedule for the season.

WATERFORD, CT - The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center is pleased to announce the dates for its 60th summer season programming, including conference schedules and public performances.
The pieces that will be developed during the 2024 season are currently being selected from the more than 1,500 new plays and more than 450 new musicals that were submitted for consideration. Additionally, participants for the O’Neill’s other programs are being chosen from robust application pools, including a record-breaking 150 applicants for the National Puppetry Conference.
These selections will be announced in early May. Tickets will go on sale to O’Neill members on Monday, May 20th and to the general public on Tuesday, May 28th.

The 2024 season dates are as follows:
Young Playwrights Festival
Festival Dates: May 17–19
Performance: May 19

National Puppetry Conference
Conference Dates: June 3–June 16
Performances: June 14 & 15
National Theater Institute: Theatermakers Intensive
Intensive Dates: June 14–July 28
Performances: Mondays
National Playwrights Conference
Conference Dates: June 17–July 14
Performances: Thursdays–Sundays
National Music Theater Conference
Conference Dates: June 30–July 27
Performances: Wednesdays, Fridays, & Saturdays (with exceptions)
Cabaret & Performance Conference
Conference Dates: July 30–August 11
Performances: July 31–August 4 & August 6–10
Summer 2024 will also see the return of Beech Party, the O’Neill’s summer fundraising event, which will be held on July 27th. Guests can expect a special night filled with entertainment, dancing, spectacular views of the Long Island Sound, and more.
Another O’Neill staple, Blue Gene’s Pub, where patrons and artists can spend evenings enjoying a drink, will reopen for the season on May 24th.
