Better Organize Your Meds Via Special West Hartford Event

The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District is hosting a free program at a local library to help folks organize their medications.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — As anyone who takes multiple medications knows, sometimes organizing them and accurately figuring out what one takes can be challenging.

For West Hartford residents, help is on the way.

Folks are invited to join the West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District for a "Brown Bag Medication Review" on Friday, Dec. 5, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Noah Webster Library, 20 S. Main St.

Pharmacy students and faculty from the University of Saint Joseph will be on hand to review participants' medication bottles, create a complete medication list, and answer any questions people may have.

"Please bring all your prescription medication bottles in addition to any over-the-counter products and herbal supplements you currently take," wrote the health department.

"This is a great opportunity to understand your medications better and ensure you're taking them safely and effectively."
