Donations Sought For New Trees In West Hartford

The West Hartford Tree Project has set up a donation page as it tries to re-plant trees to make up for a 20 percent loss in greenery.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The West Hartford Tree Project 2026 crowdfunding campaign is officially live, and donors are being sought to help the effort add to the town's tree stocks.

According to the project, West Hartford lost 20 percent of its tree canopy from 2010 to 2023.

"We're fighting back by planting 1,000-plus native trees every year," wrote project activists in an announcement this week.
