Foundation Cash Available To Help West Hartford Programs, Projects

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local nonprofit groups looking to operate programs that benefit the West Hartford community could have grant dollars from a local foundation fund to help.

On April 1, the West Hartford Greater Together Community Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving opened its application window for 2025 grant proposals for programs or projects in the West Hartford community.

Applications for grants for $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000 will be accepted from non-profit organizations proposing programs or projects that will benefit West Hartford residents.

Preference will be given to programs/projects that build an inclusive West Hartford community by addressing mental health, social, and/or basic human needs.

Interested applicants are invited, but not required, to attend a virtual information session to learn more about the West Hartford Greater Together Community Fund and the grant-making process.

In advance of the information sessions, people can register using this Link to Virtual Info Session Registration.

The following are the info session dates and times:

• Info Session 1: Tuesday, April 8, 7 to 8 p.m.

• Info Session 2: Tuesday, April 15, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Applications must be submitted online unless there are accessibility issues and prior arrangements are made by contacting 860-548-1888.

The deadline for grant applications is Wednesday, April 30, at 5 p.m.

Questions must be submitted by April 15, to westhartfordac@hfpgcommunityfunds.org

Proposals will be selected and notified of awards by mid-June.

All grants are awarded at the sole discretion of the West Hartford Greater Together Community Fund Advisory Committee with the support of Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
