NEW HAVEN, CT — By the time the CIAC Class LL indoor track championships concluded Thursday night at the Floyd Little Athletic Center, the top of the leaderboard was filled with familiar names.

Hall High School edged Danbury to win the boys team championship for the fifth consecutive season, extending its streak to seven straight years with a state title after winning Class L in 2017 and 2018. On the girls' side, Glastonbury captured its fourth straight crown by easily outdistancing runner-up East Hartford.

The two teams took diametrically different approaches in repeating their success. Hall athletes captured just two of the 15 individual events, but the Titans' depth accounted for 13 other top-6 finishes to earn 72 points, six ahead of Danbury. Meanwhile, the Guardians won six of 15 girls' events, compiling 84 points to 46 for the Hornets.
