WEST HARTFORD, CT — West Hartford Department of Public Works crews have now completed their town-wide storm debris collection from Tropical Storm Isaias and more than 15,000 cubic yards of material was collected in the process, town officials said this week.

Any remaining items may be collected as part of the bi-weekly yard waste collections or brought to the recycling and yard waste center, free of charge through the end of the month, officials said. A valid West Hartford identification is required.

Curbside Yard Waste Collection occurs on the same day as recycling collection on the A-B schedule, every other week. Yard waste should be placed in 30-gallon biodegradable paper leaf bags and placed at the curb. Brush must be cut to 4-foot lengths, tied and bundled.
