Police Trio Passes Key Career Test In West Hartford
The new recruits were sworn in last fall and, recently, completed an extensive training program at the Connecticut Police Academy.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Three of the West Hartford Police Department's newest recruits recently completed a major step in their law enforcement careers.
The WHPD said officers Zachary Barown, Justin Policarpio, and Nicholas Denegre recently graduated from the Connecticut Police Academy in Meriden after being sworn in last fall.
This rigorous program, akin to a military boot camp, is a necessary precursor to any police officer putting on a badge and hitting the beat.

According to the WHPD late last month, the trio has been assigned to the department's Patrol Division and, now, they are undergoing field training.
After an evaluation period, the officers will begin working on new, regular beats in town.
