To help, the West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District has free supplies that can help anyone save a life should they encounter one of these emergencies.
The health department — which serves West Hartford/Bloomfield and is located at 500 Cottage Grove Road, Suite 100, Bloomfield — has free doses of Narcan and Fentanyl test strips.
