NBC Connecticut's Len Besthoff Hit By Car In TV Station Parking Lot

The investigative reporter has been identified as the pedestrian who was struck by a car in the NBC Connecticut parking lot last week.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Investigative reporter Len Besthoff has been identified as the person who was hit by a car in the NBC Connecticut parking lot last week.

Besthoff, chief investigative reporter for the NBC Connecticut Investigates team, confirmed to Patch that he struck, after the news was first reported by The Laurel.

"I am feeling better and I'm already back at work on a limited basis," Besthoff said.

On May 4, West Hartford police reported that a pedestrian was hit by a car while walking across the NBC Connecticut parking lot that morning.

That pedestrian, later identified as Besthoff, was taken to the hospital. He was alert and conscious when police responded to the TV station, though he reported shoulder and neck pain.

Besthoff has worked for NBC Connecticut since October 2013, according to his company biography.
