Play-Reading Renegades Present 'Rumors'
Play-Reading Renegades will begin Neil Simon's comedy 'Rumors' at Noah Webster Library on the last Thursday of each month starting Apr.27.

From West Hartford Libraries: The Play-Reading Renegades at West Hartford Libraries begin their inaugural season with Neil Simon’s comedy, “Rumors.” A dramatic reading of the play with nine actors will be held at on Thursday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the Noah Webster Library, 20 South Main Street, West Hartford. This full season of plays, April to November, on the last Thursday of each month, is made possible by the Thomas F. Kilfoil Memorial Bequest, West Hartford Library Foundation.

PLOT: Charley and Myra Brock are celebrating their 10th anniversary and have invited all their good friends. Chris and Ken Gorman, a couple, are the first ones to arrive. They show up only to find that Myra is missing and Charley, deputy Mayor of New York City, has “accidentally” shot himself in the ear. The rest of the guests arrive, and the anniversary evening goes comically awry.
