Renowned Medical Expert To Discuss Senior Brain Health In West Hartford
The first of a two-part program on 'Brain Health' starts at a West Hartford senior center later this week.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — A nationally recognized expert on brain health will host a program this Friday at a West Hartford senior center.
"Tips to Optimize Brain Health" will be hosted by Dr. Wendy Hurwitz on Friday, Sept. 19, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at theWest Hartford Senior Center at Bishops Corner, 15 Starkel St., West Hartford.
"Did you know that there is growing scientific evidence that cognitive decline, Alzheimer's, and dementia may be prevented, reduced or reversed?" reads an event announcement.

"Based on the latest information, come learn easy, simple, drug-free things you can do that may help prevent, reduce, or reverse cognitive decline, and strategies to optimize brain health."
The event is part one of a two-part program, though attendance at both is not required. The second part will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, a week later at the same location.

The free event is open to folks aged 55 and over from all towns. No membership is required, but registration is required.
