Ron Foley Foundation Celebrates 9th Annual 'Run for the Roses'

From Ron Foley Foundation: Now in its ninth year, the "Ron's Run for the Roses" Kentucky Derby Day gala raises awareness and funding not only for pancreatic cancer research, but also patient care. In honor of West Hartford native Ron Foley, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in 2005, the event draws guests throughout the Farmington Valley and beyond. Enjoy an elegant afternoon of fun, food, cocktails, Derby-style fashion, and live & silent auctions. And, of course, watch the Kentucky Derby on a giant screen.

Why: Events like Ron’s Run for the Roses help to underscore the Foundation’s mission to raise funds for pancreatic cancer medical research, to promote awareness of the disease through education and to provide direct financial aid to pancreatic cancer patients in need.
