The construction on the West Hartford location of Sliders Grill and Bar is nearly complete, and is on track for a June opening.
The owners had originally hope to open in March, but faced construction and other related delays.
A peek into the kitchen Monday afternoon revealed equipment that has now been delivered and just needed to be connected.
Todd Weitz, general manager of the Plainville Sliders, said the West Hartford restaurant opening is tentatively planned for the first week of June, and that employee training is already beginning in other locations.
"The opening is very near," Weitz said.
Following the soft opening, Weitz said a grand opening may be scheduled to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the first restaurant's debut in Plainville.
Sliders will be located in the Elmwood shopping center also occupied by Stop & Shop and Crazy Bruce's. Hours for the lounge are posted as 11 a.m. - 1 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. - 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and the kitchen will be open seven days a week from 11 a.m. until midnight.
