Special Theater Group In West Hartford To Perform 'SpongeBob'

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A very special theater group in the West Hartford area is hosting what is sure to be a memorable production of a beloved children's show.
The FAVARH Players, an inclusive theater group featuring performers with and without disabilities, will present "The SpongeBob Musical" Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, April 4-6, at Northwest Catholic School, 29 Wampanoag Drive, West Hartford.

Show times are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a matinee performance on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at favarh.org/theater.

"FAVARH" is also known as The Arc of Farmington Valley, a regional nonprofit based in Canton that helps "people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live as independently as possible, experience continual growth and live the lives they want to lead."
Families of all abilities will be enchanted by this all-singing, all-dancing, dynamic stage production based on the beloved Nickelodeon animated series.
The story follows SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and the rest of the Bikini Bottom residents as they band together to save their undersea world from an impending volcanic eruption.
The show is filled with humor, heart, and high-energy musical numbers, the show promises fun for the whole family.
"Favarh Players is more than just a theater group—it's a celebration of inclusion, creativity, and the power of community," said Ronelle Cipolla, program manager for Favarh Players. "This production is a testament to what happens when people of all abilities come together to create something truly magical."
This year's performance features 39 actors and "partners" from all around the Farmington Valley area.
Jack Knall, who plays a lead role, said that, as a person with disabilities, he feels he's found a place that is meaningful to his life and accepting of his differences.
He and acting partner Jaymie Bianca, a social studies teacher by day and also current Miss Farmington Valley, enjoyed their recent appearance on Channel 3's Great Day television show on Friday, March 27, to promote this year's play.
