Suspects Who Damaged West Hartford High School Site Captured On Surveillance: WHPD

The suspects damaged property at the school and left racist graffiti at the scene last month, according to police.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police recently posted surveillance images of three suspects believed responsible for racist graffiti seen at a West Hartford high school last month.

According to the West Hartford Police Department, officers were called Sept. 21 to Northwest Catholic High School, 29 Wampanoag Drive, for a property damage complaint to school athletic facilities.

Police said, at about 4:15 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, officers arrived to discover damage to the track area at the school as well as the soccer field and field house.

"This damage consisted of racial slurs written in spray paint, cut soccer nets, a tipped over Port-a-Potty, and large bags of gravel cut and destroyed," wrote the WHPD.

In addition to Northwest Catholic, police said damage was found to the practice putting green at the nearby Wampanoag Country Club.

Since the incident, the WHPD has posted a surveillance image of three persons in a parking lot at NWCHS between the hours of 1 and 3 a.m. on Sept. 21.

That trio was also seen on surveillance images at the country club, with the suspects walking through the high school campus onto the adjoining golf course.

Police said one of the suspects was "wearing distinct pajama bottoms" and all three were wearing white sneakers and dark clothing.
