Teen Task Force Makes Video Urging Safe Driving In West Hartford

West Hartford's Peer Health and Concerns Teen Task Force recently unveiled a safe teen driving video done with the West Hartford PD.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town's 'Vision Zero' pedestrian/motorists safety campaign has pulled in contributors throughout town, including local teens.

Drive Safe, Arrive Safe is a PHACTT (Peer Health and Concerns Teen Task Force) campaign sponsored by West Hartford's Prevention Partnership.

PHACTT is a unique opportunity for students to promote awareness of teen health issues and support active steps to address adolescent health concerns within our schools and community.

Conard High School student members of PHACTT created a public service announcement with assistance from West Hartford Police Officer Tim Reardon, Conard's Resource Officer.

PHACTT created several other campaigns, including Recipe for Recovery, Stress Less Live More, You Narcan Save Lives, and WeHa Teens Talk, a new podcast that will debut soon.

Currently, students are working on an anti-vaping campaign designed to educate middle school and high school students.
