University Of Saint Joseph Honors Jim Calhoun With 'Legacy Fund'
The Calhoun Legacy Fund will be used for student scholarships, academic support, facilities improvements and more, the school said.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — To honor Jim Calhoun, the longtime basketball coach who came out of retirement in 2018 to lead its newly-formed men's team, the University of Saint Joseph has created The Calhoun Legacy Fund.
The fund is designed to "expand USJ's capacity to welcome talented students from a broad range of socio-economic backgrounds and provide them with the tools necessary to succeed in USJ's challenging academic programs," school officials said in a news release.
Calhoun's "vision for the future" inspired the O'Connell Athletic Center's renovation and expansion, school officials said. Now, the fund will expand on his vision even further.
