USJ Names New Gymnasium After Jim Calhoun
The university is honoring its basketball coach by naming its new gym the "Hall of Fame Coach James A. Calhoun Gymnasium."

WEST HARTFORD, CT — University of Saint Joseph officials have decided to name the school's new gymnasium after Coach Jim Calhoun, USJ President Rhona Free announced last week.
Free made the announcement during a ceremony honoring Calhoun's legacy on May 5. She said the newly constructed gym would be named the "Hall of Fame Coach James A. Calhoun Gymnasium."
The gym is the "centerpiece" of the recently renovated O'Connell Athletic Center, USJ officials said, and a formal dedication will be held at the start of the 2022-23 basketball season.
