WEST HARTFORD, CT — If the town were looking for justification for its ongoing 'Vision Zero' pedestrian/motorist safety push, it didn't have to look far Tuesday.

Thankfully, however, a violent crash in a busy section of town, which resulted in a rollover, didn't result in any serious injuries, West Hartford police said.

According to West Hartford Police Department Capt. Aaron Vafiades, the crash Tuesday was caused when an operator ran a red light at the intersection of Trout Brook Drive and Boulevard.

The vehicle then slammed into another vehicle, causing it to roll over.

Luckily, Vafiades said, the injuries were minor, just "bumps and bruises," and the operator responsible was cited by police.
