West Hartford Health Officials Urge Vaccines For Those Over 50

Appointments for vaccinations against myriad serious illnesses can be made by calling the West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District.

WEST HARTFORD/BLOOMFIELD, CT — The health department this week is urging those older than 50 to consult a checklist to see what vaccines they should get to avoid serious illness.

The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District is now providing all recommended vaccines for individuals who are 50 years and older.

Those, the department wrote, include pneumonia and RSV (age 75 and older), COVID-19, Shingles, Tdap and High-Dose Flu vaccines (age 65 and older).

Folks are being urged to make sure they are up-to-date on all routine vaccines.
