West Hartford Hosting August Pool Parties
With the first day of school coming up Aug. 30, the Town of West Hartford is hosting 'Family Fun Nights' at local public pools.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — School starts later this month in West Hartford, but there's still plenty of time for some organized summer fun.
One ongoing program that started last week continues this month with the town's summer pool party series, called "Family Fun Nights."
Here, families can enjoy more than just a dip to cool off in town-owned pools — they can partake in all sorts of fun and games with their community.

For example, town recreation staffers will host all sorts of games and contests, including cornhole, water basketball and limbo.
"Take part in the games, swim freely or just hang out with your family," wrote the town.

• Beachland Pool — Wednesday, Aug. 9, 6 to 8 p.m., 847 Quaker Lane
• Eisenhower — Thursday, Aug. 17, 6 to 8 p.m., 13 Sheep Hill Drive
The pool parties are free, but space is limited and pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Register all members of your family who will be attending.
