West Hartford Issues Flu Vaccine Reminder

The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District has four more flu shot clinics to help folks guard against the illness's serious effects.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local health officials are again reminding folks to get their flu shots as they also remind them they have multiple flu vaccine clinics coming up.

The West Hartford- Bloomfield Health District will offer flu vaccines to anyone age 4 and older, and high-dose flu vaccines to people age 65 and older.

No appointments are needed, folks just walk in a four more scheduled flu clinics.

People should bring their identification and insurance card (including Medicare and supplemental cards) and consider wearing short sleeves.

The out-of-pocket cost is $50 for flu shots and $85 for high-dose vaccines.

The clinics will be held on:

• Tuesday, Oct. 14, 3 to 7 p.m., West Hartford Town Hall, 50 S. Main St.

• Tuesday, Oct. 21, 3 to 6 p.m., Elmwood Community Center, 1106 New Britain Ave.

• Monday, Oct. 27, 3 to 7 p.m., King Philip Middle School, 100 King Philip Drive.

• Monday, Nov. 3, 3 to 7 p.m. West Hartford Town Hall, 50 S. Main St.
