Adomeit would replace Peter Blum, chairman for 26-year, who resigned back in December and then rescinded it after controversy. The Retirement Commission is a 15-person team that oversees the benefits paid to tens of thousands of ex-state employees, the Courant reported. Adomeit, who was a faculty member at the Western new England University School of Law since 1978, was recommended to Molloy on May 4 in a letter signed by commission members who represented both labor and management departments of the state.
