West Hartford Libraries Promise Summer of Fun
All three locations to have summer full of children and family activities.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — With classes on hold for local schoolchildren until the new school year starts in the fall, the West Hartford Public Library has plenty of summer programs to keep children engaged and busy.
On Friday, they issued their summer calendar and its chock full of stuff for kids and families to enjoy through August.
The library has three locations:

• The Noah Webster Library at 20 S. Main St.
• The Bishops Corner Branch at 15 Starkel Road.

• The Faxon Branch at 1073 New Britain Ave.
The library has easily accessible listings and information for a variety of events and celebrations on its website and via social media.
For starters, the fun starts Tuesday, June 21, at the Bishops Corner Library with a program on rockets, called "Stomp Rockets," at 3 p.m. for second- through fourth-graders.
On the same day, Faxon is hosting "Backyard Bingo" at 10:15 a.m. for kids 5 and up.
From there, there are events almost daily at all three sites through the summer.
Highlights include a "Teddy Bear Campout" at Bishops Corner July 12-13 for children aged 3-6; tie-dye shirtmaking at Faxon, Noah Webster and Bishops Corner on July 11, July 12 and Aug. 3, respectively; and Harry Potter birthday celebration July 29.
