West Hartford Police: Woman Resisted Arrest, Spat on Officer

A West Hartford woman is facing several charges after she allegedly spat on police officers for driving erratically and failing to pull over last week.

Sarah White, 20, of 88 Dover Road, eventually pulled over, and an officer allegedly smelled alcohol on her breath, according to a police report.

White allegedly failed a field sobriety test and, while she was being brought into custody, resisted arrest and spat on a police officer, according to the report.

White was charged with assault on a peace officer, third-degree criminal mischief, operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, failure to bring motor vehicle to a stop, operation without carrying a license and interfering with an officer.

Bond was set at $25,000. White is scheduled to appear in Superior Court on Sept. 5.
