Learn To Lead Children In West Hartford
The Bridge Family Center in West Hartford is now accepting applications for its Parent Leadership Training Institute.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — A local program designed to help folks help children is seeking people to sign up and take the free, virtual course.
The Bridge Family Center is now accepting applications for its Parent Leadership Training Institute.
The free 20-session, virtual program combines advocacy, leadership and citizenship skills into a curriculum to foster the best interests of children.

Participants learn how they can impact the political system and become effective advocates for children.
They will complete a project they are passionate about and attend both a local and statewide graduation ceremony.

This program is coordinated by the Family Resource Center and is open to parents, grandparents, guardians or people who live or work in West Hartford and care about kids.
Meetings will be held Wednesday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning Jan. 25, 2023 and concluding in June at the Family Resource Center, 425 Oakwood Ave. in West Hartford.
Free childcare for school-age children (4+) and a meal will provided before each class.
PLTI is an initiative of the Connecticut Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity and Opportunity.
It is sponsored by the Bridge Family Center with funding support from the Parent Trust and Connecticut State Department of Education.
