West Hartford Rec Sites Undergoing Maintenance, What You Need To Know
West Hartford officials this week announced myriad schedule changes and closings due to planned maintenance at major recreation sites.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town's indoor swimming venue remains closed through Sunday, Aug. 24, part of an extensive maintenance schedule at local recreation facilities announced this week.
According to the town, the Cornerstone Aquatics Center is closed for routine maintenance and cleaning through Sunday, Aug. 24, and has been closed since Aug. 17.

As a result, Fern Pool at Fernridge Park, 567 Fern St., has been open during the shutdown period, giving folks one last weekend for a swim.
Beachland, Kennedy, and Eisenhower outdoor pools closed for the season on Sunday, Aug. 17.

All splash pads, meanwhile, will remain open until Monday, Sept. 1.
In addition, Veterans Memorial Skating Rink will close for maintenance and cleaning from Sunday, Aug. 24, through Sept. 6. The rink reopens on Sunday, Sept. 7.
Finally, the Elmwood Community Center will conduct its annual custodial maintenance from Monday, Aug. 25, through Sept. 6. The facility will remain open for limited activities.
