West Hartford Seeks Owners Of Found Dog In Town

The canine was found Wednesday with a leash, roaming back and forth in a West Hartford neighborhood.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — The town is looking for the owners of a pit bull mix that seems to have been abandoned or lost in town.

West Hartford Animal Control posted news Wednesday that the dog was found on Boulevard near Prospect Avenue.

"This Pit Bull mix was roaming back and fourth in the area," wrote the department.

The department is looking for its owner and they're asking folks to call the animal control department if they have any information.

"He’s still very nervous, we are trying to get to know him better. We were able to slowly remove the leash he had wrapped around his neck," wrote West Hartford Animal Control via social media.

The department also released several photos of the dog, hoping somebody might claim it.
