West Hartford Senior Citizens To Get Their Day

The town is hosting 'Senior Day' at a local senior center, where seniors can learn about good health tips and services available to them.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local senior citizens are invited to a special day of their own, with the chance to learn how to stay safe and healthy in their golden years.

The Town of West Hartford is hosting "Senior Day" on Wednesday, May 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Elmwood Community/Senior Center, 1106 New Britain Ave., West Hartford.

The event is free and is co-sponsored by state Sen. Derek Slap, D-West Hartford, and the West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District.

More than 40 vendors are featured, including senior service providers, healthcare professionals, West Hartford Social Services, the West Hartford Senior Citizen Advisory Commission, the West Hartford police and fire departments, the West Hartford Community Emergency Response Team, and other community advocates.
