West Hartford Will Host Job & Resource Fair On Wednesday

The town expects a diverse set of job seekers to attend and encourages representatives from all industries to participate.

WEST HARTFORD, CT — Looking for a job in the West Hartford area?

On Wednesday, the town of West Hartford and the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce will host a Community Job & Resource Fair, designed to match job-seekers with companies that are hiring.

The fair will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at Elmwood Community Center (1106 New Britain Ave., with facility access via Burgoyne Street.) It will be the town's second of its kind, as the first took place last year.

"Our first Community Job & Resource Fair held in September was a big success for both employers and job seekers," Kristen Gorski, economic development coordinator for the town of West Hartford, said in a statement. "Businesses were thrilled to find the right match for their job openings."

The event is free and job seekers are not required to register. Companies and organizations should email jobfair@westhartfordct.gov to reserve a table.

Town officials said they expect a diverse set of job seekers to attend, so they encourage companies from all industries to participate.

"Once again, the Town of West Hartford and West Hartford Chamber of Commerce are stepping up to help job seekers find employment and businesses find new employees," Mayor Shari Cantor said in a statement. "I encourage everyone to take advantage of this unique opportunity to strengthen our community's workforce and vitality."
