West Hartford Writers Debut Thriller Novel Titled 'An Imperfect Plan'
The book follows two women who struggle with infertility. It's the first fiction novel by a writing duo that usually publishes nonfiction.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — A West Hartford-based duo that typically writes nonfiction has released its debut fiction novel.
Titled "An Imperfect Plan," the book centers on two women — Colette and Greta — both of whom struggle with infertility. It's told via two points of view, and the story outlines their "emotional decades-long journey to motherhood by any means necessary," officials said in a news release.
Colette De Luca is ready to start a family after decades of pushing away childhood trauma, while Greta is forced to confront her own family's story after tragedy strikes her twin teenage sons, according to the book's description on Amazon.

"Strangers whose lives explode in the wake of a shocking event ― and converge in more ways than one ― Colette and Greta are forced to face the twists of fate and the choices they've made," the news release reads.
The book was written by West Hartford residents Nicole Moleti and Krista Wells under their pen name, Addison McKnight.

Moleti and Wells have been writing nonfiction for a decade, but they decided to branch into fiction to explore their common interests in women's emotions and the cultural obsession with perfection, the news release said.
"The emotion is visceral, the heartbreak and suspense are almost unbearable, and it all leads to a stunning ending," said Amazon Charts bestselling author Luanne Rice in her review of the book.
"An Imperfect Plan" debuted on Tuesday and is available on Amazon for $10.99.
