WEST HAVEN, CT — One person is dead in a car crash in West Haven early Saturday morning, according to police. Police responded to a three-car crash around 6:40 a.m. in the area of Elm Street near First Avenue. According to police, a van struck two parked cars and a person in the van, who is believed to be the driver, was killed. Elm Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue is closed to traffic. Police say the investigation is expected to be lengthy and the road closure may be in place until later in the afternoon.
