IDs Released Of 2 Boaters Who Died After Vessel Crashed: Report
The IDs of the two boaters who died have been released, according to officials.
Two boaters have been pronounced dead after their missing boat was discovered Thursday night, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.

On Saturday morning, it was revealed that the two people who died are: Cynthia Ferk, 64, of Stratford and Floyd Maxson, 67 of Stratford, as reported by WFSB 3 TV.
The U.S. Coast Guard Station New Haven found two unresponsive people from an overdue vessel near the west break wall in New Haven Harbor Thursday night.

The two people were recovered by a Connecticut State Police dive team and taken to West Shore Fire District’s fire house in West Haven. The two people were later pronounced dead by the Connecticut Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
The vessel was found capsized on the break wall in New Haven on Thursday afternoon.
The vessel was deemed overdue when a concerned individual called the Sector Long Island Sound Command Center on Thursday morning, the Coast Guard said.
It was reported that two people were potentially missing on a boat trip between Stratford and Norwalk on Wednesday evening, the Coast Guard said.
The missing people were found to be in a New Haven restaurant’s reservation list the evening of July 9. An adjacent marina’s security footage showed the people aboard the vessel, the Coast Guard said.
A cell phone belonging to one of the missing people pinged a cell tower near the New Haven Harbor west break wall at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, the Coast Guard said.
An HC-144 fixed-wing aircraft from U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod supported search efforts and flew numerous search patterns over the area.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, Environmental Conservation Police, Connecticut State Police, West Haven Police Department, West Haven Fire Department, West Shore Fire District, Branford Police Department and Stratford Police Department all assisted in the search.
CT DEEP Environmental Conservation Police is conducting a formal investigation into the cause of the incident.
