K-9 Hanny Helps Sniff Out Drug Bust In West Haven: Police
A woman was arrested after police said she was found with more than $1,100 worth of crack cocaine and nearly $5,000 worth of fentanyl.

WEST HAVEN, CT — A New Haven woman was arrested after police said she was found to be in the possession of more than $1,100 worth of crack cocaine and nearly $5,000 worth of fentanyl Friday in West Haven.
Members of the West Haven Police Department’s Street Crime Unit were conducting undercover patrols around South Street on Feb. 28 when they saw a black Nissan Maxima engaged in drug activity, according to police.
West Haven patrol units responded to assist and conducted a motor vehicle stop on the Nissan, according to police.

During the investigation, police said K-9 Hanny alerted to the odor of narcotics emanating from the vehicle.
Police said members of the Street Crime Unit searched the Nissan and found the following:

- 11.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine, with an estimated street value of $1,150
- 494 white wax folds, each containing a white powdery substance, later determined to be fentanyl, with an estimated street value of $4,940
- Miscellaneous drug paraphernalia
- $156 in cash
Bianca Daniels, 43, of New Haven, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to sell narcotics, and one count each of operation of a drug factory and possession of drug paraphernalia.
